He founded Scioto Wealth Advisors in 2010 with the vision of creating a complete financial institution dedicated to delivering a high‑touch, client‑centered experience.
Eric graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1997 with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration / Finance. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 31, 63, and 65 securities registrations, along with Life and Health Insurance licenses. He also earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ (CRPC®) designation.
Deeply committed to community impact, Eric founded the MJF Fund for Cancer Research in memory of his parents, Malcolm and Joyce Friedman. He is co‑founder and board member of Families for a Cure Foundation, supporting cancer research and patient care programs through local events. He also volunteers with and sponsors the Columbus American Cancer Society. Eric and his wife, Cassie, live in Upper Arlington and have three children.

Lucas D. Koffler
First Vice President - Investment Officer
Since 2003, Lucas has been advising individuals and small business owners on their investment planning
needs. He takes people through a process to learn what is important to them financially. Then, he
develops comprehensive strategies to address all of their needs. Typically his clients are looking for
advice in four key areas:
• Investment management
• Liability management
• Insurance
• Planning strategies
Lucas understands that each of his clients are unique, and their financial strategies should reflect that.
While his planning is comprehensive, he strives to personalize each plan to fit each client’s specific
needs. He also maintains flexibility and transparency in his plans, because he recognizes how investment
goals may change over time. Making sure wealth continues to work in support of goals takes careful
planning, and he can help you navigate the complex choices available.
Lucas is originally from the Pittsburgh area and graduated from John Carroll University in Cleveland,
Ohio. He went on to earn a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Toledo in 2001. Lucas and
his wife Liz live in Dublin and have three children. Away from the office Lucas enjoys golf, travel and
spending time outdoors with his family.

Not all investments are appropriate for every client. Whether saving for the children’s education, purchase of a second home, or a long and enjoyable retirement, Mark will personalize your investments to pursue your goals, within your timetable and within your acceptable risk tolerance. Personalized service is what it is all about for Mark.
Mark most enjoys dealing with clients that want to be involved in their investments, that want to know what they own, and why what they own is right for their portfolio. This approach has helped Mark achieve second and third generations of families who invest with him.
A native of Columbus, Ohio, Mark joined the United States Navy and spent 5 ½ years as a Navy corpsman. He returned to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University. Graduating in 1979, Mark joined A. G. Edwards as a stockbroker and later as a vice-president of investments. He enjoyed mentoring many new stockbrokers into the firm. A. G. Edwards eventually became Wells Fargo Advisors.
On a personal level, Mark and his wife Janice live near Grove City to be near their daughter and her family. His two passions are his granddaughter and the game of golf. When they can get away, they enjoy visiting their log cabin in northeast Tennessee, where Mark can be found working on projects or cutting down trees.

Erica began her career with UBS Financial Services in 1997 and helped transition the business to Scioto Wealth Advisors in 2010. An honors graduate of Denison University, Erica holds the Series 7, 63, 65 registrations and Ohio Insurance Licenses and serves as a Notary Public.
In 2012 Erica was selected by Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network to serve on the Client Associate Advisory Board, which is comprised of approximately 10 Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network associates across the United States who serve as a liaison between the home office and the field to provide suggestions and recommendations on best practices that would be beneficial for other Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network owners and associates. Since then, she has been an active participant in the Ambassador Program, providing insight on new tools, products, and services, and offering ideas on ways to make our existing offerings better for Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network associates and clients.
Erica currently resides in Lewis Center with her husband, Ryan, and her two children. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Senior Registered Client Associate

Internally, she is responsible for ensuring the team maintains records of compliance with all regulations for Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network and industry regulators.
Jess graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University and currently holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 registrations as well as an Ohio Insurance license.
Jess lives in Columbus and enjoys trying new restaurants and attending live concerts.
Client Service Associate

By balancing risk vs. reward, income, and growth of personal income Mark has developed many long standing relationships with clients that have endured the ups and downs of the markets. Indeed, Mark has always operated under the assumption "that his clients are as concerned with a return of their principal as they are with a return on their principal". Using stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETF's (or alternatives) Mark has helped build investment portfolios that stand the test of time.
Mark graduated from The Ohio State University in 1979, where he majored in history and minored in economics and political science. Mark spent his early years after college as a high school teacher and freshman wrestling coach. Mark's first twelve years in the investment business was with Sweney Cartwright and Company. At Sweney, he was involved in municipal bond underwriting and institutional bond trading as well as individual investor portfolio construction. He later joined A.G. Edwards which became Wells Fargo Advisors. Mark joined Scioto Wealth Advisors in 2021.
Outside of work Mark is married and has three adult children and one grandson. He and his family live in Upper Arlington Ohio. He is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Scioto Country Club, OSU Golf Course and the OSU Alumni Association.

Previously Sonya was nominated and recognized as an Elite and Premier Client Associate (2014-2019) when she was with WFA. The Wells Fargo Advisors Platinum Council Client Associate (previously Premier Client Associate) distinction is held by a select group of Registered Client Associates within Wells Fargo Advisors nominated by their management for their consistent display of professionalism, integrity and core leadership values.
Sonya holds her Series 7 and 66 securities registrations, and attended Franklin University studying Accounting.
Sonya and her husband have one daughter who is married. Outside of work, Sonya enjoys time with family, reading, outdoor activities and travel.
